Top #10 Fun Autumn Activities With Your Frenchie

September 1, 2024

Autumn, the season of color, cooler weather and less crowded beaches is the season long awaited and preferred by French Bulldogs after the hot and humid summer. Here are some of the best autumn’s highlights to consider together with your Frenchie

#1 Have fun in a pile of leaves

Let your Frenchie enjoy and burn some extra energy in a huge pile of leaves- it’s their own version of a ball pit! Play hide and seek and stimulate your Frenchie’s brain by throwing his favorite toy or stick in the pile.

#2 Expend your collection of sticks

To collect sticks and carry them home is an instinctive and fun activity for your French Bulldog. It’s their way to communicate with you and say “I’m happy “. Don’t try to take the stick away from them instead reward your Frenchie with a yummy treat or praise him.

#3 Hiking in a dog-friendly trail

Take your Frenchie on an autumn hike and enjoy the beautiful fall scenery. Hikes are a wonderful occasion to bond with your French Bulldog. Make sure you don’t forget the healthy treats and your camera.

#4 Hitting the beaches

The beach is a magical place for everyone, and this includes your Frenchie. They can’t get enough of it!  With the summer holidays over all beaches become dog friendly. All that running on the sand and playing in the waves is like a full body workout. It’s the perfect way to keep them happy and in great shape. With the cooler temperatures outside you can actually enjoy a beach walk as a lunch break.

#5 Plan a pumpkin picking day activity

Plan a day trip to a pumpkin farm. Check their pet policies before planning your day. Choose the most beautiful pumpkin and craft it later into a scary frenchie. Your neighbor for sure will envy you!

#6 Bake a healthy homemade treat

There are plenty of recipes for homemade dog treats and believe us: it’s worth the effort! You can even get into the Halloween vibe by baking some pumpkin themed frenchie treats.

#7 Take a stroll in the city

A city walk with your Frenchie is not about exercise, it’s all about mental stimulation. The mixture of scents, sounds and sights will definitely engage your Frenchie’s senses and prevent boredom . Be sure you are equipped with a “city walk leash” and that your Frenchie is wearing the latest trends in terms of dog fashion. Be prepared to get a lot of attention!

#8 Book an autumn photoshoot

From falling leaves and golden light to Halloween vibes, October is the ideal time for a dog autumn photography. There is something truly magical about this month of the year. Don’t miss the color palette, the golden and blue hours or the spooky season. We don’t encourage pet parents to dress up their Frenchies in silly costumes. We truly believe that dogs should wear nothing more than outfits that keep them warm or dry. Try to be creative with the decor instead and you will get amazing memories.

#9 Go camping

Take a weekend camping trip. This is like your Frenchie’s dream come true and fall is the best time of the year to do it. Your French Bulldog will love spending time in the nature with you and being outdoors can be an unplugging getaway for you too.

#10 Kick some football

For many fall means football! So, get into the spirit and toss a football around with your Frenchie in the park or your backyard. Don’t count on a 90 min game though!
